Yuzi Welcomes Carly Hu as New Director of Care

March 1st, 2024 — SEATTLE —Yuzi (www.yuzicare.com), a multi-modal wellness company on a mission to reimagine the maternal care experiences for mothers, families, and caregivers, announces today it has appointed Carly Hu, MSN, FNP-C, MHS as the new Director of Care.

This appointment took effect on March 1st, 2024.

Carly brings over a decade of experience in diverse healthcare settings and has made significant contributions to maternal and infant care. Carly's dedication to maternal health shone brightly during her tenure at Evans Army Community Hospital, Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, CO. There, she excelled as a staff and charge nurse in the Mother-Baby Unit and the Family Care Ward, providing exemplary care to mother-infant couplets and serving in critical roles such as the special care nursery charge nurse.

A decorated military veteran, Carly served in the United States Army as a medical-surgical nurse and in various leadership roles, receiving an honorable medical discharge at the rank of captain in 2018. After her service in the military, Carly worked as a school nurse for medically fragile children where she further exemplified what it means to be an empathetic and caring medical provider to vulnerable populations. Her professional certifications include Washington State Board Nursing ARNP and RN licenses, along with certifications in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support.

Carly is currently advancing her expertise as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, underscoring her commitment to maternal and infant health. She is a valued member of the American Nurses Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
