Whatever the path taken, I cannot emphasize enough the importance of sharing birth preferences with providers for the sake of your own empowerment and autonomy, and understanding when they cannot live up to those preferences that those reasons are explained so thoroughly the birthing person completely understands their options and the various scenarios they might encounter.
