Why This Love Is Blind Couple Partners With Seattle’s Yuzi

As a fan of the hit Netflix reality show Love Is Blind, Yuzi Care founder Stephiney Foley knew immediately who Bliss Poureetezadi and Zack Goytowski were. She also knew she could help them.

As reported in People magazine last week, Seattle-area residents Poureetezadi and Goytowski became the first couple from the show to welcome a child. They recently celebrated the birth of their daughter, Galileo, with a week-long stay at Seattle’s new Yuzi Postnatal Retreat, specifically designed to support new families after birth. Foley says Yuzi is one of only five postnatal care companies in the U.S., and the only one in the Pacific Northwest.

While there, the couple and their baby received 24/7 holistic care, supported by a team of doulas, nurses, mental health providers, sleep coaches, and child-care specialists. They received gourmet meals, daily parenting classes, lactation support, and spa services, and also connected with other families.

They were so impressed that they now want to sponsor an expectant mother in need for a five-night stay at the retreat, located at The Lodge at St. Edward State Park. The gift is valued at $6,500, or $1,300 per night.

“Yuzi provided us with a beautiful environment to bond with Galileo as we transitioned to parenthood,” Poureetezadi says. “We left the retreat feeling mentally and physically refreshed.”

Details about the giveaway can be found on Poureetezadi’s Instagram post. Deadline to enter is Aug. 9.

Foley — a fan of the show who has watched all six seasons — launched Yuzi about a year ago. She is also partnering with the celebrity couple as the business prepares to launch its nonprofit foundation.

Foley, a U.S. Army veteran and West Point graduate who was deployed in Afghanistan, says the exposure is critically important because of the lack of awareness around postpartum care in America. Though her business is rare in the U.S., it’s commonplace throughout Asia.

“It’s really important to communicate that there needs to be a change, and starting a dialogue, and what postpartum care is not doing in America,” she says. “And the inefficiency. I think it’s more about like creating a movement. Our mission is to democratize postpartum care in America.”

Love Is Blind debuted in 2020. Poureetezadi and Goytowski appeared on season 4, and is the first Love Is Blind couple to have a child.

The series follows 15 men and 15 women who all come from the same area. They date in “pods,” and can talk to each other but meet only if there’s a marriage proposal.
