We are the first in-person postpartum care retreat in the Pacific Northwest, located at the boutique luxury Lodge at St. Edward Park Hotel in Kenmore. The retreat operates year-round, offering a sanctuary for families from 2 days to 12 weeks postpartum.

Role Summary:

The Postpartum Care Professional I at Yuzi Care will be responsible for daily care and support for postpartum parents and their newborns. This role ensures smooth operations and creates a welcoming environment for guests. We are looking to hire hourly postpartum care professionals, typically with experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), to enhance our guest experience. Applicants should be passionate about infant and postpartum care, exhibit patience and professionalism, and have a team player mentality. A variety of schedules are available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Newborn Care: Provide comprehensive newborn care, including diapering, soothing, bathing, bottle feeding, and sterilization of equipment.
  • Postpartum Support: Offer support for postpartum parents, including personal care assistance, ambulation, and assisting team members with tasks.
  • Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in conjunction with onsite housekeeping staff.
  • Documentation: Document infant care activities (feeding, sleeping, and changing schedules) and family support activities in the Yuzi system.
  • Educational Programming: Assist instructors with group wellness classes, including passing out pamphlets, welcoming guests, and documenting attendance.
  • Supply Management: Ensure a well-stocked facility and notify appropriate channels of low supplies.
  • Guest Experience: Go above and beyond to ensure our Yuzi families have an incredible experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license or state ID and a copy of a clear and current background check.
  • Active Basic Life Support certification for the infant, pediatrics, and adult populations.
  • Able to provide proof of flu, COVID-19, and TDAP immunizations and remain up to date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in postpartum or infant care is highly desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping new mothers and their families. Willingness to learn how to provide postpartum care to families.
  • Lactation certification (CLC, CLE, or IBCLC), not required but preferred.
  • Fluent in another language
